Hmm I should have taken it again. I wasn't concerned since Debbie Jensen's site says "some dogs go lower 98" and after the EXTENSIVE post reading I have done on here it seems like temps in the high 97's are not unheard of.
Also, I am using a digital human thermometer, not a rectal thermometer. Would this in any way affect the reading? (I have read that some are instructed to ad a certain number of .1's to the reading).
Not that I am at all challenging your response... it makes me worry a little again. If it had been just the temp drop on its own I might have not been as concerned but because there is the question that they are overdue I am a little more worried. After talking to vets and researching a little more it seemed that the general consensus was that in 99% of cases the issue with "overdue pregnancies" is simply a date miscalculation but I'm starting to wonder. Today is day 67 from the FIRST breeding and day 59 from the LAST breeding (although I think its safe to say she got pregnant somewhere earlier in the 9 day span than later) If it doesn't happen TONIGHT I'm bringing my baby in.
