I spray them down before and after a bath to prevent any matting, and it is is a great coat conditioner. I do use a bit more than 4 sprays per dog, because I go over the whole body - and perhaps my dogs are just bigger! You don't really need a lot of this stuff - spray a few times, and then brush it through. Just be careful, if you have hardwood floors, because it leaves a slick spot! Just put a towel down before you start spraying.
