I always use a gentle leader with Smokey. If fitted properly, it works wonders. It has the nose piece and clips under the nose so when they pull, the head goes down and causes them to slow down. I bought the EZ walker or whatever its called with Chip and it did nothing for him. He's just stubborn I guess. I tried to put Smokeys Gentle Leader on him and then he wouldn't even budge. He laid on the floor and wouldn't even get up for food. It really depends on the dog. My recommendation is to take your dog to the store and have him try the different kinds on to see what works and to see his size. You can also usually get the harnesses cheaper on ebay too.
