I agree wholeheartedly. My three dogs are unneutered, two males one female, my male Yorkie has the sharpest sense of smell, and about two weeks prior to my BRT Zoey going in heat he will be very interested in her, and start his humping.
It is also good to stop this behaviour because some females whether neutered or not will take exception to a male humping them, and will snarl, snap, growl, and might even nip the offending male.
