That is interesting. I wonder if you drop cornmeal on ant mounds if that would work to kill them? I thought the one tip about just putting dry laundry detergent on the mounds was interesting. Here in Texas the fire ants are horrible. We are constantly fighting them. Luckily the ants that invaded our house yesterday were not fire ants.
