We made a ramp for the boys and they use it all the time. The only trouble is that they like playing on it! We probably made it a little too big but I just wanted to make sure that they had enough width to be safe. They chase each other up and down, it's hard to stop them. We just used 1/4 plywood with 1x2 for the frame to nail it to, then we covered it with berber carpeting glued down with odor free glue and let it air out and dry for a few days. The cats also like it for a scratching post
