My Thor is EXACTLY the same way. I just posted a thread where I tried seasoning his food with powdered beef liver. He spent fifteen minutes licking every single one of his kibbles to get the liver specks, and then ate like three kibbles.
I do think for him that some of it is related to his teeth. He doesn't like to chew stuff. I had no success at all with some of the top-rated kibbles, and I think it was because they were so big. I have him on Halo now, which he grudgingly eats. The Halo kibbles are pretty small.
