The groomer I was using shaved Jada and Bogie's nose and between the eyes back in November. Needless to say we haven't been back. I am grooming them myself. I am keeping them in a longer coat (not show coat but almost to the floor). It has just in the last month stopped poking them in the eyes and is laying down. I used petsilk topknot gel until it started to lay down. The growing out phase is a major pain, but so worth it in the long run. And, grooming them is not that hard, I just do the sanitary trim, their pads and keep the hair on their feet trimmed up so its not dragging the ground. I haven't done anything to their faces as I want them to have a long beard.
