Camden was prescribed the same after her surgery two weeks ago and did fine on it. She only took it for three days, but didn't have any problems. |
if a dog throws up on metacam you are suppose to stop immediately as that drug affects the lining of stomach and known to cause ulcers. It can perforate a human bowel so can you imagine in a small dog? It is always to be given mid meal so 1/2 food then metacam then 1/2 food. My dog was given it on empty stomach by a vet and she was on steroids - had perfect blood work, urine and stool 3 days prior and after one dose was vomitting up every time she ate, diarrhea it was a total nightmare
