Thank you all for your replies. I did take your advice and have him tested last week for thyroid. It came back normal so I guess he is either going through a period of change or it is genetic. When he was a puppy he had a thick, glossy coat and it is one of the reasons I picked him out. But even if he looses every strand of his little coat I love him more each day. As usual the wonderful people here on Yorkie Talk have shared their knowledge and time to help someone in need. I thank you very much.
