Crate training takes extreme patience and a lot of time. I have always put my pups in cages that were large enough to hold them and a wee pad. So basically I have a yorkie in a cage that is big enough for a boxer. You have to stay consistant though with keeping them in the crate. The build up technique works great, you extend the time they are in the crate little by little. They will have accidents but that too shall subside with age. Usually most pups are housebroken by the time they are 12 months. Good luck and have patience.
