I read somewhere that 10-12 weeks and they should be able to. Our little one is 7 months and still can not hold it all night all the time so I set up a play area for him and took the door off of his kennel so that he can come and go as he needs to.
Thanks

Just my personal experience....but IMO 10 - 12 weeks is way too young to be able to "hold in all night". I'm not sure if it's just one of the yorkie traits to be harder to train or not but I have heard that. We have wierd work shifts around here so every couple of hours someone is letting our dogs out. I think the longest they can go without having an accident is about 6 - 7 hrs, but like I said since they have the ability to go out often its hard to know for sure. I would think that at about 9 mos they should be pretty well on the way to being totally housebroken. Perhaps someone with better info will respond. Good luck to you and just be patient. He'll come around. I do believe a neutered male may have an easier time to train. Take care.
