Saturday was her first day on it, so surely it's been long enough!
My new problem is figuring out how much to feed her. Currently, she picks all the Wellness out in about the first twenty minutes that it's down. Previously, we've always just let her free feed and I'd put about half a cup of Iams in her bowl to last her all day. Usually, there was still a handful of kibble left in the bowl by the end of the day. The Wellness directions say to feed her between 1/4 -1 & 1/4 cups per day for her weight range (she's 5 lbs). Since she's supposed to need less of this good food than the Iams, should I start out with just the 1/4 cup a day? If she eats it all in one sitting, maybe I could split it up and feed her twice a day. How do I know if I'm not feeding her enough?
Thanks!!
-C | Uni is 5 lbs also, and I feed 1/4 c in the am and 1/4 in the pm. sometimes she doesn't eat in the am. but she is very skinny, she should be 5.5+ or maybe even 6
