Darn hootin they are! WOuld you believe I had a goldfish named BUddy? We have a small fish pond and when my daughter was 2 or 3, we bought feeder fish to put in it. All died but Buddy because we didnt realize there was not enough oxygen to sustain them. SO we got a pump. We loved BUddy and for 3 to 4 yrs we brought him in and out of the house during winter. Buddy started about a half inch long and got about the size of small camcorder. IN spring we put him back in the fish pond one yr, and he was so happy to be put back out he flopped out out of the water and I didnt know it. He didnt make it.
I know its a sad story, but fish are special too! I know our Buddy was.
