I personally would stick with one dog for awhile. You are just a newlywed and have said how much you and your husband like to travel and do fun things together. Now is the time to do that, before you have children. Having pets can tie you down as it's expensive to board them. |
Good advice.
Although I'm in my empty nesting stage - I opt for one at a time - for many reasons. Some due to costs already and costs yet to come (both vet and grooming). I also fear that if I get another that Bailey's personallity might change? She might become more independent and/or insubordinate. Or she might not like her new roommate? I'd hate for Bailey to feel that she's been put aside for the new one. Things are just perfect as they are - and I don't want to rock the boat.
All that said - I'm always on the look out for another -I just don't act on it.
I know its tempting - you'll make the right decision for you.
Good luck!
