Just wanted to share something that could've been really bad. I forgot to close the baby gate and I left his puppy bag that he LOVES to sleep in on the stairs. He has never tried to go down the stairs since the trainer was here--about a year ago. Sure enough the enticement of the bag was his breaking point and he wiggled his body in the bag. As adorable as he looked I realized that he could've very easily tipped the bag and it would have fallen down the stairs. Thank goodness they are carpeted but we have a wooden floor and bench at the bottom of the stairs. Lesson learned: I will never leave his bag on the stairs and I will try to be more careful closing the gate. It was so scary.
