If its acute, follow the treatment from the vet and all should be ok. You want to stay away from what caused the colitis. Lily was diagnosed last week with colitis but we had gone to the beach and she drank some saltwater and ate some sand. The vet said that this was most likely the cause. She prescribed Flagyl and said that should take care of it. I didn't change her diet. I gave her plain yogurt to help replenish some intestinal flora and she did fine. Hope your baby feels better soon.
