What a good idea. I do have an extra leash in my car. Last summer my boyfriend and I spent at least half an hour tracking down two shih tzus that were running around a neighborhood and we just happened to drive by. They had collars and bandanas around their necks, but no identification or phone numbers. We didn't know what to do! I caught one and was carrying her while the other took off. My boyfriend followed it in the same direction and ended up finding its home! So both were returned safe and sound. That really made me feel good!
