This summer we have rescued 60 puppy mill dogs. Because of the economy and public education, puppy sales are down, and mass breeders are being driven out of business. We need your help to be able to continue to rescue dogs in large numbers. You can help by donating for their care or by helping us place the dogs in wonderful loving homes so that we have space to comfortably house more. Our donation form can be found online at
Hearts United for Animals. You can be a Buddy to a dog and write a special message to him while he waits for his forever home, or you can sponsor a Sanctuary Sweetheart - a dog who will remain at the sanctuary forever. All of the over 200 beautiful dogs at the sanctuary can be found online at
Hearts United for Animals.
I am assuming they did not get 60 dogs from a mill without purchasing them.
Other thing is that I am always suspicion of Sanctuaries that ship around the country. Many times they are mills in disguise as a rescue.
We do send dogs on airplanes to new homes if there are safe flights. The cost of the flight is additional to the adoption fee. The cost varies depending upon the size of the dog, the airline, and the the method of shipping. We use our own kennels so that you do not have to buy one but ask that they be returned as soon as possible.
This is the second rescue Lillie I think is her name.
