When Bailey was a puppy, she didn't pee in her crate - but she did pee in her expen and that was okay with me

There's lots of theories on potty training. I used the crate, not to limit her space to keep from pottying, but it was somewhere to put her when she was not supervised in house. Bailey was only loose in the family room (with blankets on the floor) when she was supervised. Our goal was to allow her to make a potty mistake and then catch her in the act and take her outside. We repeated this over and over and over again until she caught on. Its a lot of work - but with supervision and consistency it can be done. Its very very important not to allow the lil one loose in the house unsupervised until potty trained.

Good luck.
