Mickey was in pain like that for his first shot. Now the vet gives him a Benadryl shot before any shots. This has helped so much!
Also, per my vets direction for my puppy (disclaimer) I was to give him 1/8 of a baby aspirin when we got home. If the area bothered him I was supposed to put a warm compress on the area. I used a small microwavable boo boo bag thing I picked up at a craft fair (made of corn inside).
***Ask you vet about the Benadryl shot before the next shot. Be sure to mention the pain this shot caused.
