I had a groomer who insisted you need the pee string... my new groomer cuts it shorter and I like that better... it seems cleaner to me somehow... I keep Armani in a pretty long coat but shave his stomach area and I never have any issues... I dont think it really matters one way or the other, whatever you are comfortable with...
