I don't necessarily think this person should be banned as the YT rules don't specifically mentioned PTS threats are a reason for banning. But, I do think the rule should be added and banning or a long suspension should be the action taken in the future. |
I totally agree. There are suggestions all the time in this forum for changes to rules. It's that what this section is for~suggestions on how to handle different situations or issues?
I still stand behind my original statement that it is/was disturbing to read and without a specific rule in place it was not addressed at the time. If a rule would have been in place then it possibly it would have been applied.
The above mentioned post was not the first time a member threatened to have a dog PTS. I remember about 2 yrs ago there was a guy that threatened to take his dog and "have it killed". The rule could have applied to that thread as well. That too was posted (i believe) for shock value.
FYI~this thread was NOT started to call for a BANNING for anyone. It was to ask for a change in rules to address a situation the did happen but it was NOT the first time on this forum that someone threatened to do this.
Thank you ADMIN for considering this and all of the other suggestions that are made in this forum.
