I am training mine to use the bell too. Just get any bell or bells from the hardware store. I'm using 3 med size Christmas bells tied on a thin rope. It hangs from a nail next to the door.
They are catching on. All you do is ring the bell everytime you take them out to pee. I say "lets go outside"...they come running to the door, when they are at the door (don't open it yet) ring the bell, then open the door. Say whatever you say to have them go pee. I say "hurry up, hurry up" and as they are peeing, I say "good hurry up, good hurry up". My old dog would pee on command...I hope these babies will learn it too. That's how I'm doing it...hope it helps. |
