I have read that too and think I'm currently fostering evidence of just this type of breeding. Two girls surrendered as "yorkies", a mom and her daughter. The mom looks and I'm sure is a silky, her daughter I believe has to be a yorkie/silky mix. The daughter has more of a yorkie body (slightly longer) and face but has the exact same coat as the Mom.
