 Barks When I Stand Up
We adopted a 15 month old male yorkie a couple of weeks ago. If I'm sitting in my recliner he is fine. As soon as I make moves like I'm going to get up he starts freaking out and barking at me like crazy. Also, he barks at me whenever I come downstairs into our family room. If I've been in there for a few minutes he's fine, but if I go upstairs and come back down he'll start barking at me. I love my puppy and I don't want him to be frightened of me. I just don't know what to do to convince him I'm not a threat. I give him treats and cuddle him when I pick him up and talk sweetly to him, but he still goes bonkers and always seems frightened of me. Help! |
