i wonder if the red cross does this as well? i know after hurricane katrina, people were registering with the red cross to locate loved ones they were seperated from. i have no idea if they help in "non emergency" cases, but it wouldn't hurt to ask if it was ever a problem. i know i told my husband if any natural disaster or anything happens and we get seperated - that i will go to the red cross and for him to do the same.
