Get your whelping box in place and all the instruments and special food you will need. You will need that box even if there is a C section. There are threads on here for whelping supplies, as well as the whelping pudding, etc. Hopefully you have also put aside the money for all the tests the pups will need and the meds.
I do hope that you did all the health checks on your bitch and the sire. Given of course you had a small Yorkie with a collapsed trachea so you do know how important the health checks are.
I assume the little one you will have to put to sleep is the male Yorkie with the collapsed trachea?? I am so sorry that this is the only option for this boy. |
I went and got more things today. the only thing i couldnt find was the bleeding powder. I did not get the whelp box yet, Im still deciding on that one. I was going to get a large box and fill it with blankets n cut a hole so the Mom can get in and out. I was told a large plastic storage bin was good too, just put a hole in it. My Vet said c-section may happen but too early to tell. When should go back to Vet to get an xray? I am going by when she tied which was the only time ever so she is 34 days not 41days (as Vet said). I am watching her closely. Yes, I know how important health checks are

. I copied a list from another blog on the whelping supplies. The pudding I have to double check. How many times a day do I feed her boiled chicken and whole grain rice? What can I mix the cottage cheese with because she doesnt like it at all. As far as Cosmo(boy yorkie) I wish there was another way. I am trying to make him live as long as possible. He is very limited in activity so it is hard. Thank you
