HI! and welcome. I am a fairly new member here myself. I got my Yorkie while we were living in South Korea. We made a pen out of stackable shelving material. It was about 3 ft by 4 ft, at one side was her bed( a travel bed-like you can take on airlines) and the other was lined with pee pads. She felt safe in her bed as it was like a den. When she was about 5 months old, we bought a crate. She sleeps there at night and then I leave her travel bed out and she gets in it during the day if she wants. I want her to stay used to the travel bed cause we fly alot. She has gone back and forth from Korea to Texas about 7 times with no trouble. We let her sleep in our room in her travel bed at night until she was 5 months old. She woke up about three times at night till about four months but I got her when she was 9 weeks old, so she was very young. That is the only thing I remember that was hard. It was like having a new born baby!! no sleep. Good luck with your new baby. YOu will get lots of support and information here. |
