when some people sell their dogs for the price of cars it is important to know what you are getting yourself into.
In my mind, breeders hold a lot of power, including the power to shut down puppy mills. Perhaps I'm wrong and 1800 to 3500 is reasonable for a pet yorkie... |

What did the breeders you spoke to really ask that upset you so much? In the New England region a top quality PET puppy from a show breeder is $1800to $2200 with limited AKC registration. These are the puppies a breeder releases after selecting what he/she will keep for showing. Only one so-called breeder in this area would ask $3500 for a puppy and there is an entire thread dedicated to her in the Regional forums.
