 Need medical advice.....
Hello, we've had our Yorkie Cooper for a month. Tuesday I noticed limping on his right back leg. He seemed better on Wednesday but Thursday night he wouldn't put any weight on his leg at all. I took him to the vet today and nothing out of the ordinary showed up on his x-rays. The vet seems to think it may be a torn ligament or possibly a hip problem that toy breeds sometimes have.
He had an injection and she prescribed him Rimadyl once a day. She said if he wasn't better in a month to bring him back.
He's not very active but doesn't seem to be in pain, he doesn't cry when you touch his leg. Wednesday he spent the day playing with my daughter's little Maltese. They are the same weight, so I don't think she hurt him while playing.
I guess I'm asking if any of you have had the same problem and what the outcome was? Thanks, love reading this forum. |
