Gez, I'm not sure how old they get but ours lived over 10 yrs and he didn't die from an illness - it was an accident. I really don't recall any health issues either. I mean they may have them but ours didn't - we did get him from a good breeder. It's been a LONG time ago so I'm sure my memory isn't the best. My dad loved the breed so much that he had several after that until he passed away. I do know that his Pug had alot of issues but I don't remember any with the Boston.
