good for you as I always do this and wish more owners would before giving meds. Always trust your gut and no i would not use that either- i had a vet give me ace for dd when she had an allergic reaction. Back then i did not know anything but they gave it to calm her down. She was a mess had an allergic reaction to beef and her eye swelled shut it was horrible.
someone back then told me to do raw beef to rule out allergies so i bought it well i went to dinner with friends one night and dh decided to feed it to them without my knowledge and i was furious -- dd was a HORRIBLE mess so i guess i know now she is allergic to beef
My other two were fine but i tell ya MEN they just love to feed the babies. He is cut off now
