Well it depends on the rescue's policies. When I adopted (rescues) Doodlebug he was only 12 weeks old so it was on a spay/neuter contract. The same with Bogey when he came from the shelter. Doodlebug's contract said by 6 months he needed to be neutered. Bogey's was within one month of adoption.
I am positive the YHR does not adopt out any dogs without being altered. When we had puppies several times last year they did no go until they were old enough to have the surgery. But like I said every rescue is different.
