This is a very hard decision for you and I am sorry you have to go through this.

I can tell you my little Sophie Kate had a badly bruised hip this Winter from a fall and it was a lot work taking care of her. We had to make sure she didn't jump up and off furniture and actually had to carry her down and up our stairs.

Now with that said, there are a lot of products that I found that helped such as a ramp for the getting on and off the furniture and I used washable pee pads (at first when she was not allowed to walk for long periods of time).

I know you are excited to get her and if you think you can devote the extra time, care and expense that would be ideal.
