The only possibilities would be that 1) either you or your friend is mistaken, or 2) it wasn't the same registry. The CKC in question that the OP mentioned does NOT "register" mixed dogs as recognized breeds. It issues a certificate stating that the dog is the offspring of two recognized breeds, but does not delare them a breed of their own. It allows people with mixed dogs to qualify to enter their dogs in their agility events.
I guess it also depends on what you consider "registered" to be. Declaration that the dog is a recognized breed, or simply having the dog on record with the organization. |
