Aw that is tough one to try to answer. Only you know how much he can handle right now and how warm his disposition would be toward a new puppy. If you are up to a new puppy and that is what YOU want, I'd say go ahead. He might be a daddy to the little one. If YOU want an older rescue, there are lots that have been raised around other doggies and like the companionship of another.
