Yep, my groomer told me the same thing and it was the first brush I bought. Ivan HATED grooming. Finally a good friend (bchgirl) told me about the Wooden Pin Brush from Chris Christensen. And my grooming became so much easier. The pins are wooden. So they don't poke or scrap the skin, no matter how close you get.

I also have one of the Brass Fusion pin brushes.

I highly recommend the wooden pin brush. really, bchgirl is right. It's costs a good penny but it is the BEST investment you'll make for your grooming.
