I honestly don't know if a lot of breeders are doing this in the Yorkies..I know in the Biewers they have been because so many first time breeders started breeding them without a full understanding of genetics and COI. Stud books are not closed but many people are not getting enough diversity in their lines.
In fact I have read where it has been discussed to re-open some of the stud books in established breeds because there is not enough diversity. I have also read where some breeders are bringing in other lines to stop deafness in dalmations but now the cry is these dogs are no longer pure..
I am sure some very experienced breeders can discuss this better than me. |
ok thanks i just want to understand why as i know mine is inbred but i think my girl is an accident though

sadly
I just hear about line breeding and want to understand more about it so thanks
I know there is no guarantee in humans nor animals with health but i just think we have to give them the best possible chance upfront.
