I think the issue is that these toy breeds are being over vaccinated. Sometimes, it is a business decision by vets, and other times, they just are not knowledgeable about the breed.
I personally do give my dogs bordatella. The one year we skipped it, we got kennel cough while shopping in petco. I take my dogs to obedience classes and out on walks. I choose to give the bordatella but it's the only non-core I give. |
I completely understand that's why you said it was NOT correct because of me leaving out the word "LIKE" a core is what she considers it to be in my 1st post. No issues there with your comment that it's NOT a core, whatsoever, because we all no it's not a core (technically speaking)

I think I clarified that in my second post though and corrected my 1st posts, no?
Anyways, YES I trust my Vet and her amazing credentials and would take her advice any day of the week, but also like you do MY own research too on anything I have questions or concerns about because YES they are OUR babies and it gives you more of a piece of mind researching issues yourself as well. I consider myself very lucky to have such a wonderful vet with amazing credentials who also owns Yorkies too and understands the breed.
The Bordatella is the only non-core my Vet recommends as well.

My questions are though that I read so many people HIGHLY suggesting to NOT get it and was curious as to why they HIGHLY recommend not getting the Bordatella shot. Yes, the over-vaccinating thing can be a reason why they highly suggest not getting the Bordatella shot but I wanted to hear there thoughts on it as well and the reasons why they highly recommend not getting the shot.
