I know Mary, and not only for Yorkies either. We as you know have another breed we show and will one day breed, and believe you me there are lots of products that go into that coat, to if needed coarsen the coat, add lift and volumne, and we are not getting into what you can do with a talented pair of scissors. And one of the first things my pro handler said to me when he specialed Magic, well glad to see a few gray hairs, at least you and judge know there is no coloring going on. We have dQ'd if there is a white patch on chest greater than a certain diameter, and the only acceptable color is black or black with some grey hairs. In summertime as we are in the sun alot with training and hiking I will use a color wash to protect the black from going reddish from the sun plus an SPF cream from Plush Puppy which is really great in protecting the coat from sun damage.
