Today was giving Sophie a bath thinking she was dirty, she had been scratching, and when I got her wet, I noticed a bold patch on her right side, where her kidney will be , I guess.It was irritated and flaky, poor thing, that's why she was scratching. I could not find a flea on her, but I still used the Dawn on her, called the vet and took her right over, last Thursday or Friday, was her last bath, and I didn't notice anything. The vet took a sample to check for fungus, in the mind time prescribed Itraaconazole -10mg. once a day, and Amitriptyline 10 mg 1 every 12 hrs to help with itching .When I got home and checked what Amitrptyline is, I don't think I want to give it to her

he did not prescribed anything to put on. I've never had any problems with this vet..I've never had any health problem with my babies, but after reading so many horror stories, makes me start to wonder.
Has any one had this happen? Any advise..?
