Years and years ago Muffin had a soft vinyl ball that had a whistle. Well, she chewed and got the little circle off and it was stuck around one of her back teeth by the gum. She started scratching wildly at her face and actually did scratch herself. I had to run her to the vet to get it off, because she wouldn't let me do it. She had to sedate her a bit in order to remove it. Geez!
