I don't personally have one, but my in-laws do. He's almost the most hyper dog I've ever seen...second to a jack russell terrier. He does shed and it's more noticeable to me than their other dog (a french bull dog) because of the white hairs. And I hope you don't mind doggy slobber, cause they have plenty. He's also incredibly strong for a mid-sized dog. He can easily knock you over and playing tug-of-war with him is just asking for a pulled muscle. He loves to go swimming in their pool and at the lake.

He's definitely got personality! And can be pretty funny, but he's also very loud and takes awhile to calm down after we show up at the house. He is sometimes kind of aggressive. Not really in a mean way, but he gets wrapped up in playing and forgets it is play so he can get pretty rough. My husband's uncle tends to enjoy pestering the dog at holidays, and the dog has snapped at him before. Granted, the uncle more than deserved it.

I think like with most other breeds, the negatives can be gotten rid of by good training. Training is not something my in-laws know much about...
