I have a question to this answer. Do the hormonal changes always make the coat color go lighter or can it get darker instead? Halle has her second litter now (2 wks tomorrow) and unless my eyes are deceiving me, and they very well could be, her coat seems to have a bit more of the darker colors in it. It is exactly like Destiny's in sily straight texture but with more dark colors marbled in with the lighter colors.
And one more question I'm curious about. Why is it that the roots look so wonderfully dark gray/blue color but lighter as it grows out? Makes me want to cut it short and start all over. LOL But yes, I know that probably wouldn't work.
