 the trouble with fundles
I have been searching for a FUNDLE in Canada for months, it arrived today and I took my little guy (approx 5lb) out for the first time. I have some concerns. My Tucker can not have his head outside unless he is standing on his back legs, he slides down to the bottom and the top (the pads) close like a spring over his head when he trys to rest. The only air is from the little bit of netting on the top which does not afford him much airflow when the top closes so tightly. To have air FLOW there needs to be more than one place for the air to get in/out. I bought the standard size because of his weight. I am now thinking of adding some large decorative gromets to the front and back and making a full mesh top that will attach with snaps/velcro to increase the airflow when he wants to rest. I have to say it is just as comfortable as everyone said, and aside from the issue with size and breathing it's a wonderful thing. I saw a pad on the Korean website that is used if the unit is too large but I can't seem to find it on any North American site, I will probably just make one. I know that I am an overprotective Mom, but has anyone else had these issues? |
