I have seen real movie costumes upclose. They are on display often at my old school's museum. They are not as awesome as you would think. Lots has to do with camera lighting and effects. For example, the first Elizabeth movie. the jewels on her gowns were plastic! But in the movie they can tweak it to look like real jewels. In real life we don't have that option (unless you count beer goggles) so in essence, my costumes have to look better than the movie ones bc we don't get to use special effects.. |
