No cooler necessary at all. It will stay frozen in your car for a good while, just like frozen groceries would. I usually defrost 3-4 days worth at a time, on the counter, then put the tupperware in fridge - and feed from that. I don't do the egg thing.

My dogs transitioned w/ no side effects at all. Their poos just got non-smelly, smaller, firmer (not so "voluminous/fluffy"), great breath. IF there is any loose stool - it shouldn't last more than 2-3 days.
