This is the costume, see how the live action one, it looks all cheesy, I don't want it to look like that. The rope I'm using a very thick upholstery/drapery cording, and the medallion is a disc covered in metallic lambskin. I just don't know what to use for the cape!!!

I asked my client, and I both hate it and love it when they just say, "I trust you, do whatever", but then they don't really give me input.
Hmm, nobody will notice the cape. I thought asking the client might give you an easy out, true artists find it harder to please themselves than others, you are the go-to person when it comes to things like this, so I doubt if many of us could be of help. I do like the way that cape has a trim on it, looks less cheesy than some I've seen. Have you ever gone to a studio prop/costume place, and seen the costumes up close? I think you may have extremely high standards, more like Disney.
