Oh, you are so lucky to be close to the small animal clinic! I love that place! They are just amazing in what they do!

Honestly, I think twice a week is probably good! I only took Teddy three times/week. He had different surgery, but that was all he needed and the therapist gave me exercises for home, just like you are getting. It was his leg...just not the same surgery exactly...but he needed to learn to use the leg). Other than swimming, have they given you other things to do? I had Teddy walking on an air mattress...it helped with muscle development. Not easy for them to limp on an air mattress...forces them to use the leg.

I do hope he starts using it. It sounds like the muscles did not heal around it the way they should have?? Just a guess.
